To replace Marquis on the 25-man roster, the Twins will select the contract of right-handed pitcher Cole DeVries from Triple-A Rochester in time for tonight’s game at Chicago.  In eight starts for the Red Wings this season, DeVries was 1-4, 4.24 ERA (46.2 ip, 22 er), allowing 47 hits with seven walks and 37 strikeouts.

DeVries, a 2003 graduate of Eden Prairie High School, pitched collegiately at the University of Minnesota.  He was signed by the Twins as a non-drafted free agent on August 22, 2006.  DeVries will wear uniform number 38.
