Recall Jose Mijares From Triple-A Rochester

                        Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed righthanded pitcher Jesse Crain on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to April 18) with right shoulder inflammation.  In seven appearances this season, Crain is 1-0, 7.50 (6.0 ip, 5 er), allowing three hits with five walks and seven strikeouts. 

To replace Crain on the 25-man roster, the Twins will recall lefthanded pitcher Jose Mijares from Triple-A Rochester prior to tomorrow night’s game at Boston.  In five appearances with the Red Wings this season, Mijares went 1-0, 0.00 (6.1 ip, 0 er) with one save, allowing two hits with one walk and four strikeouts.  He will meet the team in Boston and will wear uniform number 50.
