Eden Prairie, MN – Vikings QB Brett Favre has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Month after leading the team to a 4-0 mark in November games. Favre was 91-of-130 for 1,193 yards with 12 TDs and 0 INTs while being sacked only 4 times.  Favre has helped the Vikings to a 10-1 start to the 2009 season, marking the 10th time in the past 15 seasons he has led a team to a 10-win campaign. 

Favre vs SeattleThe honor marks the 6th time in Favre’s career he has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Month and the 1st time since November 2004 he has earned the award. Favre is the 1st Viking to receive the recognition since Daunte Culpepper in October 2004. Favre is only the 4th Vikings QB to be named NFC Offensive Player of the Month, joining Warren Moon in November 1995, Randall Cunningham in October 1998 and Culpepper in September 2003 and October 2004.
