Wolves lose to ClipsClippers 120 Wolves 95

Minnesota lost to the L.A. Clippers 120-95 last night at Target Center in front of a sparse crowd, announced at just over 12,000. After outscoring the Clippers 29-27 in the first quarter, the Clippers went on a 19-2 run from the 10:21 mark to the 4:32 mark of the second quarter to take control of the game. The Clippers maintained the lead the rest of the way, as the Wolves could not get within eight points in the second half. Kevin Love led the Wolves in both scoring and rebounding as he notched his sixth double-double (19 points, 12 rebounds) in eight games this season. Three Clippers players scored 20+ points led by Eric Gordon’s 25, while Marcus Camby grabbed 18 boards for L.A.

 

Minnesota returns to action this Friday night at Target Center as they face the Sacramento Kings for the second time in six days. Al Jefferson scored 26 points and grabbed 11 boards as the Wolves fell 120-100 to the Kings on Dec. 12 at ARCO Arena. Minnesota is leading the all-time series 40-39 vs. Sacramento, including a 24-14 record in Minnesota.
